So, I am FINALLY posting!!!

****NOTE**** I am going ahead and publishing this because if I keep waiting to upload pics when I am at home I will never get it done. I will add pics sometime this week. 1/19/2008

This past month has been a blast as we prepared for Jack Meredith's first Christmas. After hours of shopping and present wrapping, I finally had everyone covered. I think my fav gifts were the one's that Chad and I did for our parents. For Chad's parents, all of the kid's went in on a donation to the Alzheimer's Association. For my parents, Chad and I and my bro's family went in on a gift card tree for my parents. Let's just say they will not have to cook for some time. I love Christmas time. It is such a wonderful time for family!

On the Dec. 19th Jack Meredith aslo had her 6 month well baby appt. She weighed 16lbs and 4oz. and she is 25.5 inches long. I can't believe how much she has grown. I never thought she would be bigger than Penny Lane and then POOF.....Just look and my angel baby now.....

Jack Meredith will be crawling any day now. She holds herself up and rocks back and forth on her knees, but then she just gets aggravated and falls over. SHE HAS NO PATIENCE!!! She likes to do this head burrowing thing. We moved her up to a few stage 2 foods last week just so she could get used to a different texture. She still mainly eats stage 1 veggies and fruits.

A couple of nights ago we had our first family bath in the jet tub and she LOVED it!!! She wasn't scared at all this time. I guess because Mommy and Daddy were both there. She splish splashed and I layed her across the water on her tummy and she just went to kicking those little legs. Every night before bathtime we have "naked time" too where she just hangs out in her diaper on our bed. That is Jack Meredith's favorite time of day! She hates wearing clothes.

We had our first little sick spell about a week or so ago. It was just a little cold and cough, but you know her Daddy was in a panic. I just have to say thank goodness for booger suckers. I took an RSV test home and it was negative. So, I knew she would get over it pretty soon. We kept her in our room with baby vicks on her chest and the humidifier on as well. FYI Mommy was sick too during all of this. Jack Meredith spent a few nights with GiGi and the days with Mam Maw while I was sick and when she was home Chad made me put on a mask before he would let me hold her. My sickness started before hers. I ended up with bronchitus, but luckily she just got a cold. I finally got over my sickness. I still have a cough, but it is progressively getting better.

Oh! Last month before Christmas I finally found a white Sequoia. Chad's uncle works at the Toyota dealership in Longview and he found the perfect one for me. It was traded in on a Friday and it was in my garage by Monday night. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! It is in excellent condition. Plus it has leather seats, dvd player for Jack Meredith and all of the other fun gadgets. I couldn't be happier with it. The third row seating will be great for trips and if we decide to extend the family :)

As of 1/5/09 I finally got to move to my dayshift Microbiology position and I love it. It is great to get off at 2:30 in the afternoon and have the evening to spend with Jack Meredith and Chad. Plus now I get to watch the new season of American Idol :) Well, maybe parts of it. It is just a great feeling to be home with my little family in the evenings. I actually get to cook dinner for a change. Which, if you know me, you know I love to cook. It is relaxing to me. Cooking dinner is a little bit different these days though. I have to work around Jack Meredith. So if she is sleeping I am usually chopping vegetables or doing something else in the kitchen. Eating dinner at home is much better than eating hospital food every night.

All I Want for Thanksgiving is My Two Front Teeth...

The day finally came!!! Jack Meredith cut her first tooth on Thanksgiving morning and a second one before noon. She was on a role that day! After 3 long LONG months of waiting the day finally arrived and I could not have been more excited. She almost has a third one that is trying to come in, but her two bottom teeth came right on through. It is so funny to watch her rub her little tongue over them. I guess she is thinking "Huh, so these are those little gremlins that have been causing me so much pain!" She is still teething away though.

Friday afternoon was her cousin Maci's 5th birthday party at GiGi's. She loves being around younger kids. That night we had Christmas with the Greens at GiGi's too. Chad's Mom and Dad are really good friends with Curt and Diane Green and both of their families try to get togther sometime during the holiday season. It is always a lot of fun. I was really excited to see Whitney and Stefan. Whitney is expecting in a litte over four weeks I believe. She is all belly and just looked super cute! She made me miss my prego belly. And the soon to be married couple, Meg and Clay, were there too. We all exchanged ornaments. I love ornaments! Jack Meredith loaded up with lots of cute ornaments and goodies. She was soooo tired by the time dinner and present time rolled around that she fussed from about 8 until we left. She would have taken a nap, but it was just too noise.

Saturday I got up early expecting to go to Longview to look at the Sequoia that I really wanted. Well, we got a call from Chad's uncle at the dealership that morning informing us that it was sold the night before. I was sooo sad! Oh well....Chad's uncle said that the Toyota dealership there would be going to a Toyota auction soon and they would probably be able to find the Sequoia that I want. I am sooo ready! Later that day GiGi kept Jack Meredith for us for a few hours while Chad and I went to lunch together and finished hanging some things at the house that we have been meaning to put up for months. It is nice to finally have some decor on the walls! That night we watched the OU/OSU game......Woo Hoo! OU is in the Big XII Championship!

Oh, I got the microbiology position for dayshift and will start in February. I am soooo ready and excited!

Sunday we took family Christmas pictures at our house. It was hard to get a pic where everyone looked happy and was actually looking at the camera. I think it turned out super cute! So here are a few pics from that fun little photo session. Enjoy!

Almost Turkey Day!!!

This was such a FANTASTIC weekend. I hate to see it end. Saturday morning I got up with Jack Meredith and let Chad sleep in because he needed it. He always gets up with her on the weekdays. That morning she was such a little sweetie. She had a bottle and we played for a bit, but by 7:45 that morning she was asleep again. This is how I found her in her crib.

I left her sitting up in her Boppy pillow playing with her toy and I guess she just got tired. So sweet. She slept for over 2 hours like that.

Later that morning we all got dressed to do a little Christmas shopping. We went to the mall and bought some ornaments and few presents. After that we were shopping for a new vehicle for me. Mommy needs more room!!! I really want a new Sequoia or 4Runner, but I don't want to pay that $50,000 new price. So I have them looking for a 2008 white or black used Sequoia. I love love love them! Lots of extra room for our expanding family.

After that we were going to go out to eat lunch, but the little lady was ready to head home. So we grabbed some tacos and came back to the house. We played for a while and before I knew it she was out again. This time for a 3 hour nap. How lucky are we?!?!? So, while she slept, Mommy and Daddy picked up around the house. LAUNDRY LAUNDRY LAUNDRY!

After she woke up we got ready to watch the OU/Texas Tech game. Needless to say that was an awesome game. Of course Chad had to support his longhorns even though they had an off weekend.

After she went to sleep for the night we grilled some steaks and I enjoyed a glass of wine and Chad his usual Jim and Coke. It was a very busy, but relaxing day.

This morning Chad got up with Jack Meredith and let me sleep in until 10. Yes I said it.....10 Woo Hoo!!! By the way my little lady is 5 months old today. I can't believe it. When I got up Chad left to get our Christmas decorations from our old house. Man we have a lot of Christmas decor!!! We got the tree up with the lights, but somehow we need more lights this year. Why does that seem to happen every year. Same tree....why more lights? Anywho, while all of this was going on Jack Meredith was taking yet another 2 hour nap. She took one earlier that morning for Chad too! Maybe she is tired because she has a little toothie that is soooo close to popping.

Later that evening we went to Osaka's with Brad, Dana and Angie. Brad is Chad's brother and Angie is Chad's sister and Dana is Brad's wife so that makes her my sister-in-law. Anywho, the food was great and we got some Christmas planning done. After that Chad and I went to Target for a few things that turned into a lot of things. That always happens because Target is evil :) Too many bright and colorful things! We got the usual formula and diapers along with more, yes more, Christmas decorations and a few toys for Christmas for Jack Meredith.

This weekend was wonderful and being that it is so close to Thanksgiving I would like to say how thankful I am for my family. I have the best husband in the world and the sweetest, most beautiful baby ever. I love all of my family and I truly appreciate everything they have done for me. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. It is so crazy how much our lives have changed this past year. First the new puppy that I have always wanted. Then the new house that I love and never want to leave. And now my beautiful daughter that I love with all of my heart. Best of all I get to share all of this with my best friend in the world, my hubby. I love you! Muffins and Spaghetti!

I hope all of you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! Jill :)

I See Your True Colors.....

These are just a couple of funny pics of Jack Meredith sporting my Cyndi Lauper wig. Funny how she hates wearing hats, but doesn't mind sporting the wig. I thought they were too cute. She kind of has that Joe Dirt look going :)

Jack Meredith October and November

It has been over a month now! So sorry! We have been sooo busy this past month. Especially since I switched to 2nd shift. I just thought that it was going to better on this shift. HA! The hours are just not made for me and my family. Our day begins early, early of course, and sometimes we are not in bed until 12 or 1 at night. In the mornings I have Jack Meredith until about 1:15 when I drop her of at my Mom's house and then Chad picks her up anywhere from 6-9 at night. It is just not working! Luckily enough, a dayshift spot came open in microbiology, which is my fav. So, I immediately applied for it. Now it is just a waiting game to see if I get it. Here are some pics of this past weekend hanging around the house.

Not quite sure if I want to go for a stroll Mommy

Okay, yes I do!

Halloween has come and gone now. I have some great pics of Jack Meredith as a wiggle worm. She was too cute and that costume fit her perfectly because she is a true little wiggle worm. We just went to our families houses to trick-or-treat this year.

How cute am I?

Jack Meredith and "Ain't" Nancy

Jack Meredith wasn't feeling that great because earlier that morning she had her 4 month check up at Dr. Busceme's office. Jack Meredith is doing excellent and she is hitting all of her milestone's right on time or before even. She now weighs 14 lbs and 10 oz. and she is 24 inches long. Infants usually double their weight at 4 months from their birth weight and she did that exactly. She also had to get 2 shots that day. So, I was prepared with bottle. She was just as happy as could be with her bottle, but the second that needle hit the skin she just spit that bottle right out. This was nothing like her shots at 2 months which really didn't bother her that much. This time she let me know how bad it hurt and she didn't calm down for a good fifteen minutes after that either. Poor baby! She got 2 tricks before any treats on her first Halloween.

Ouch!

Jack Meredith is eating a few solid foods every so often. Her first try was rice cereal with apples. SHE LOVED IT! She is such a good eater. I actually tried it to and it wasn't bad at all. It tasted just like applesauce. I hear she also likes sugar free chocolate ice cream bars. Her Mam Maw likes to sneak those in sometimes :)

We have been so busy since I went back to second shift that we never have time for anything during the week. I am sooo tired when I get home at night that all I want to do is shower and hit the bed. Chad and I miss seeing each other in the evenings. Hopefully everything will work out and I will get the other position. Otherwise, I will be hiring a maid or looking for something else soon.

Well, I have spent enough time on this. It's now time to cuddle up in bed. Here are a few more random pics. Enjoy!!! :)

MMMMM....Ba Ba

My Sweet Baby Girl is Getting SOOOOO Big!!!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. Jack Meredith is getting so big and soooo active. She rolled over from her back to tummy for the first time at 3 months and 6 days. She rolled to the right twice that day. Now she is working on rolling to the left. She can roll from her tummy to her back easily. Now rolling over from her back to tummy is a little more tricky, but she is getting it down. Here are a few pics of the first day of rolling over.

Teething is still a big deal at our house. Her gums have been hurting her sooo much and I feel so bad for her. It is always fun to come home from work and have a 2 hour scream fest :) I love her!

Mommy's little Angel Bear

We had a little bit of an 80's flashback on Sunday. I just love seeing her in leg warmers. She is too cute!!! They are super comfy for her and keep her little legs warm too! SHE'S A MANIAC....MANIAC ON THE FLOOR! Check her out.... All of that dancing wore her out :)

I was really excited about Halloween and Jack Meredith's first costume, but then the order came in and I was highly disappointed. She was going to be a Jack-in-the-Box, but they sent me the wrong size and now I can't get the smaller size. Oh well, her new costume is precious. You will have to wait until Halloween to find out what it is :) Chad and I have some great costumes this year as well.

Ah, I finally return to second shift tomorrow. SO HAPPY!!!! I am excited to spend time with her in the mornings now. This past weekend was OU/Texas weekend. The rivalry continues in our household. We have a flag that has Texas/Oklahoma A House Divided on it. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the outcome of the game.

The house is decorated for fall and Halloween. It looks really nice.

I will leave you with a few more cute pics of the little skittle. Enjoy....Jill
